A view that money can't buy....
not so if you own your share of the Tsitsikamma, you have purchased
the right to participate in something exceptional.

Provision of services in phase 7 is moving ahead rapidly with most of the
curbing in place and roads in an advanced state of construction.
Base course is spread and compacted
Once rolled to tight tolerences these roads are ready for Bitumen sealing

Work has begun on surfacing the main access road (Tsitsikamma Boulevard).

This is the road from the current security boom leading to the heart of the development .

Digging the trench for the pipeline connecting
the northern sewerage pump station to the
bulk services section is underway.

At the bulk services section the 3 mega litre (3 million litres) resevoir has been filled from the main dam for testing.

The inner wall of the sewerage works clarifier has been cast to it's full height and the shuttering is being removed

Escavators are busy digging the trench
for the water pipeline from the
water abstraction point to the
bulk services section

Concrete work has started at the top of
the water abstraction point where a pipeline
will be installed drawing water from the
Witteklip river for the estate.

This is the view from the top down to the river - an almost sheer drop of over 120 metres.
A total of 40 concrete plinths will be built to support the pipes.

Due to the potentially dangerous nature of the construction, the contracting team will be attending an abseiling course at the beginning of February to prepare for the challenging task

Whilst the main focus of construction activity has recently been on Phase 7 and the
bulk services section, roads in phase 5 are being Bitumen sealed and then recieving
"chip and spray" - stone chips being applied to the sealed surface and then Bitumen sprayed.

Street lighting is also planned in phase 5.

In the last update we focused on the 1st 9.
Construction of the second 9 is virtally complete
and these holes are now in their growing phase.

Right: 12th hole - Tee to green

13th Green from golf cart looking North
16th Green

The Tsitsikamma has experienced an unusually dry December / January
with about 30mm rainfall over this period.

Whilst this has aided the construction process, dam levels are low but this has'nt stopped
Oom Daan from pursuing his favourite sport!

Our dam is well stocked with Bass and great sport can be had
trying to outwit these feisty fish

Our next update will be in mid Feb. 2009
